Ensenada la bufadora

Ensenada Baja California, la bufadora

La Bufadora is a geyser located in the peninsula of Baja California, belonging to the city of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. It is often considered a marine geyser, however, it is not a thermal source such as geysers. The Bufadora is a combination of a cave with the waves.

This marine geyser sometimes reaches 28 meters above sea level and is the first in height after Hawaii. Every year hundreds of gray whales migrate from the cold waters of the north to the warm waters of the south. Legend has it that a long time ago in one of those migrations, a baby whale separated from the group to browse the coast. In her walk she was stuck between the rocks, in search of help she decided to launch a stream of water and then another larger one and so on. Over time this whale became stone until it merged with the rocks of the place.2 This place is an important point of tourist attraction, since it is visited by national and foreign tourists, in this place the coexistence and integration of visitors is achieved with the tasting of Mexican dishes and drinks being very traditional eating churros with sugar and the seafood dishes prepared in their different forms, as well as you can taste their exotic desserts made from fruit added with chili powder and chamoy, which has become very popular in the visit to this place, examples of these are called : "Cocos locos", "Churros locos", "Piña loca", and the famous "Tosti-loco" among many others.
